Reimagining Agricultural Diversity (RAD) Teams

Working with farmers and other stakeholders, researchers will conduct visioning sessions and surveys, developing preliminary landscape scenarios that can be tested through models and other methods.

Insights from the visioning sessions and surveys will engage participants’ imaginations and also incorporate a storytelling component: What does the future look and feel like? What do we have to do today to get there? on the team will gather data from the field on the productivity and ecological integrity of diverse cropping systems compared to corn/soybean systems. Based on indicators identified by stakeholders, we will evaluate keystone indicators of agroecosystem function, including metrics related to soil health, insect biodiversity, water quality.
